Experience authentic dog sled in Greenland.  

Sled dogs have been essential to life in Greenland and have served as the primary means of transportation across the frozen and snowy landscape.

On this trip, you will have the experience of riding a traditional sled, guided by a local sled musher, who uses their dogs for hunting, fishing and tourism, among other things. Each individual musher plays an important role in preserving the dog sledding culture and traditions – and helps to give you a unique experience.

You will have the honor of sitting as a passenger behind the sled musher, who will guide the dogs. The adventure takes you out towards the beautiful backcountry of Sisimiut, with a scenic stop. The trip will offer plenty of opportunities to take amazing photos and videos.

When riding a dog sled, it is essential to stay warm so that you can enjoy the entire trip. For that, you can rent a thermal suit and boots through us (150 DKK).

Important note: We do not recommend dog sledding for people with back problems.

The dog sledding experience lasts two hours and costs 2,000 DKK for a single participant and 1,800 DKK for each if more than one participant.

Remember: when interacting with Greenlandic sled dogs, you must always respect them and always listen to your guide’s and musher’s directions and instructions.
