As a Lodge Assistant at Wilderness Resort Erfalik, you’ll have a unique opportunity to experience Greenland’s breathtaking nature up close – while helping to create exceptional experiences for guests from all over the world.

About the position

You will become an essential part of the operations at Erfalik – one of Greenland’s most spectacularly located lodges. You’ll live and work at the wilderness resort for up to 14 days at a time without returning to town during that period.
This means you must enjoy remote, simple conditions, close teamwork, and a work rhythm shaped by the flow of nature and the needs of our guests.

You will be part of a rotating shift team (morning and afternoon/evening), and tasks are diverse and hands-on. The list below gives examples – flexibility is essential, and you’ll need to step in where help is needed.

Examples of tasks at the wilderness resort (Erfalik):

• Preparing and cleaning the lodge, bathrooms, and common areas
• Assisting in the kitchen: breakfast, packed lunches, and dinner
• Serving guests with a focus on attentiveness and quality
• Refilling water, managing waste, and monitoring sauna, hot tub, and generator
• Transporting guests and supplies to and from the resort
• Maintenance of buildings and facilities (e.g., small repairs, painting)

Examples of tasks during Sisimiut periods:

• Receiving and sending off guests at the airport and harbor
• Coordinating supplies and lodge logistics
• Preparing and managing gear and provisions
• Providing practical support to the hospitality and guide team at the hotel and in administration

 Who are you?

We’re looking for someone who:

• Speaks both a Scandinavian language and English
• Enjoys working in nature and is comfortable with simple living
• Is responsible, independent, and a good team player
• Can handle physical work and stay calm under pressure
• Has an interest in tourism and guest service in Greenland

Employment period:

At Greenland Memories in Sisimiut, we are looking for team members for our souvenir and arts shop, tourist information and tour sales.

About the shop:
The shop is located in Sisimiut’s old town, inside the beautiful old yellow wooden building near the harbor, where many of the cruise guests arrive. Here, we create the setting for many visitors’ first impression of the town and Greenland.

The job:
Your main task is to welcome and assist our many visitors – cruise guests, hikers and tourists visiting Sisimiut. You will help them find the perfect memories to bring home from Greenland: arts, handicrafts, souvenirs, musk ox wool, seal skin products and more.
You will also assist with tourist information and help sell local tours and experiences.

You don’t need special knowledge of arts or handicrafts — the most important thing is that you enjoy working in an international environment and feel comfortable sharing stories about everyday life, culture and nature in Greenland.

We expect that you:

• Are friendly, outgoing and enjoy talking to people

• Speak English (other languages are a plus)

• Are flexible with working hours (daytime, evenings and weekends)

• Are at least 17 years old

our housekeeping team, which is responsible for the cleaning at Hotel
Sisimiut.

We are looking for a full-time kitchen employee or Nutrition Assistant for our catering. Primarily for the daytime.

Nutrition assistant or similar training is an advantage but not a prerequisite.
