Operations Crew (OP CREW) – Sisimiut

We are looking for motivated, flexible, and service-minded employees to join our Operations Crew (OP CREW) in Sisimiut.
As part of OP CREW, you will play an important role in daily operations and enjoy a varied workday with responsibility, learning, and unforgettable experiences.
YOUR ROLE – OP CREW
You will work across departments and support daily operations:
- Guest service and hosting
- Reception and practical guest assistance
- Warehouse, logistics, and operations
- Café/restaurant and souvenir shop
- Housekeeping and room preparation
- Kitchen assistance and dishwashing
- Support for tours and activities
- Basic maintenance of buildings and equipment
- Snow clearing and outdoor preparation during winter
Tasks vary depending on season and occupancy.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU, IF YOU:
- are outgoing, responsible, and service-oriented
- can work independently and take initiative
- stay organized during busy periods
- thrive in a physically active and dynamic work environment
- are motivated to live and work in Greenland for at least 6.5 months
REQUIREMENTS
- You speak English
- Valid driver’s license (minimum 1 year)
- Minimum age: 19 years

Backcountry Greenland is looking for passionate and service-minded women and men to join our guide team based at Hotel Sisimiut for the 2025 summer season.
About the Role
You’ll be part of a dedicated and international team that delivers unforgettable experiences to travelers in and around Sisimiut. As a multi-role guide, your tasks will include:
- Guiding hiking tours and boat trips
- Hosting and supporting guests as a destination guide
- Taking part in daily hospitality tasks at Hotel Sisimiut
- Contributing to the full guest experience, from welcome to farewell
There is also the opportunity to supplement your working hours with other tasks across the wider Backcountry Group, making your role even more dynamic and diverse.

Requirements
- You are outgoing, adventurous, and service-minded
- You must genuinely love nature – this is essential
- Minimum 21 years old (preferred, not required)
- Experience with guiding or tourism is an advantage
- Fluent in English (other languages a plus)
- Valid driver’s license held for minimum 1 year
- Interest or prior knowledge of Greenland is a plus
