Scenic Mountain Safari by ATV

Join us on an unforgettable journey into the iconic backcountry of Sisimiut. This tour isn’t about racing along the Arctic Circle Trail but about immersing yourself in the breathtaking landscapes where infinity meets eternity. 

We begin with a brief introduction, both as a group and individually, to familiarize you with the ATV and its basic functions. Once everyone is ready, we start the tour at a slow and steady pace, leaving the town behind. We pass through the sled dog town and further out.

After a gentle climb from the freshwater lakes, we reach the Nasaasaaq Valley, where towering peaks rise dramatically to the south.

Following the Arctic Circle Trail, we arrive at the Waterfall Passage, where we park the ATVs and walk to the beautiful waterfall at the Assaqutaq trail. Here, you can fill your bottle with crystal-clear mountain water, flavored by snow and mountains – a truly authentic Greenlandic experience.

The journey continues up the passage, where we pause at the summit to enjoy a spectacular view over the Nasaasaaq Valley. During the break, a small refreshment is served, allowing you to relax and recharge while soaking in the natural beauty.

On the way back, you’ll be treated to a stunning panorama of the valley, Sisimiut, and the majestic Davis Strait in the background. Before we return to town, we’ll make a few short stops to take in the last impressions. Finally, we pass through the sled dog town once more and ride back to Sisimiut.

Notice: Riding an ATV can get dirty, so we recommend wearing clothing that can withstand mud and dust. It is also possible to rent a suit and rubber boots at the reception of Hotel Sisimiut.
