Arctic Circle Viewpoint tour by ATV

Join us on an exciting trip into Sisimiut’s legendary backcountry, home to the Arctic Circle Trail, where the vast expanses stretch endlessly and the mountain landscape impresses with its grandeur.

The trip starts with an introduction to the ATVs, so that everyone becomes comfortable with the vehicle. Then we move calmly out of town and through Sisimiut Dog Sledding Village. We continue towards Nasaasaaq Valley, where from here we follow a safe route along the valley floor.

Along the way we reach a waterfall pass. Here you can experience a uniquely Greenlandic moment by filling your bottle with crystal clear mountain water that tastes of snow and mountains. We continue towards ACR Lake, which is known as the hub of the famous Arctic Circle Race in winter. In summer, this is a beautiful tundra landscape.

The trip culminates at the Arctic Circle Viewpoint. Here we take a break with time for questions and chat with the guide, photos and a refreshment.

Before returning home, we take the famous Qerrortusok Majoria descent – ​​also called “Murder Hill” by skiers in the Arctic Circle Race. The descent leads down to the Kanerlusaqsuk Tulleq fjord. Here you will experience the hilly terrain and a sense of true adventure.

On the way back, we will also make some stops to see the terrain from a new angle. We will end the trip through the sled dog village and return to Sisimiut with memories of an unforgettable trip.

Riding an ATV can get dirty, so we recommend wearing clothing that can withstand mud and dust. It is also possible to rent a suit and rubber boots at the reception at Hotel Sisimiut.

Minimum participants:
Unless otherwise stated, the trip requires a minimum of 4 fully paying passengers to be completed. If the required number of passengers is not reached before departure and the trip has to be canceled, an alternative departure or a full refund of the amount paid will be offered.
