Dog Sled Adventure Tour

Embark on our Dog Sled Adventure Tour, a captivating half-day experience that immerses you in the rich culture of Greenland. Sled dogs are an integral part of life here, historically serving as the primary means of transportation over frozen landscapes.

On this tour, you’ll ride in a traditional sled driven by local dog owners who utilize their dogs for hunting, fishing, and tourism. Each owner plays a vital role in preserving this cultural heritage, ensuring your experience is unique. You’ll sit as a passenger behind the driver, navigating varied and hilly terrain that showcases the dogs’ strength and the driver’s skill.

The adventure takes you to the scenic viewpoint Qiterlinnguaq, where breathtaking snowy landscapes await after exhilarating climbs. Just below the summit is a quirky hut shaped like a UFO, which you can enter to enjoy a meal upon request.

When going dog sledding, it is important to keep warm so you can enjoy your time outside. You can rent snowsuits and boots at Hotel Sisimiut.

Please note that we do not recommend this tour for individuals with back problems.

The Dog Sled Adventure Tour lasts approximately four hours and costs 2,100 DKK for the first person and 1,900 DKK for additional participants.
