Join us for the Explore Dogsledding Tour, a unique introduction to the world of sled dogs. Deeply ingrained in Inuit culture, dogsledding has allowed people to traverse vast Arctic landscapes for generations. This tour offers an exciting opportunity to engage with these remarkable animals and gain insight into their everyday lives.

We’ll journey through the stunning Kisaq Valley on groomer-made trails, ensuring a fun experience for both you and the dogs. You’re encouraged to participate actively—helping to prepare the sled, drive, and feed the dogs. At Kisaq, we’ll take a break, allowing the dogs to rest while you enjoy a warm drink amidst breathtaking winter scenery overlooking the icefall.

On our return to Dog Town, you’ll have the chance to pamper and feed the dogs, deepening your connection with these incredible animals. If it’s the last trip of the day, each dog will head back to its house, wrapping up a memorable experience.

When going dog sledding, it is important to keep warm so you can enjoy your time outside. You can rent snowsuits and boots at Hotel Sisimiut.

Please note: We do not recommend any dog sled tours for individuals with back problems.

The Explore Dogsledding Tour lasts two hours and costs 1,200 DKK for the first person and 1,000 DKK for additional participants.
